Emiliano Gandolfi![]() Emiliano Gandolfi is emerging as one of the most insightful young critics of the contemporary design world today. He recently served as curator for the Italian Pavilion at the 11th Architecture Biennale in Venice, where his work showcased the evolving and emerging ideas in architecture today. Prior to the Biennale, Gandolfi served as a curator at the Netherlands Architecture Institute, the most prestigious national institute for architecture in the world. He was responsible for major exhibtions there like "Spectacular City," which examined the relationship between contemporary architecture and contemporary photography, as well as smaller temporary shows that have been discussed widely, such as "A Better World," which identified young emerging socially-conscious architects, and "Newer Orleans: A Shared Space," that proposed radical new ideas for rebuilding the Crescent City after Hurricane Katrina. Gandolfi splits his time between Rotterdam and Italy. |
